A Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Inkstand And Pair Of Candlesticks

Late 18th Century


the first fitted with a covered pen box, sander, inkwell and candleholder; together with pair of baluster-form candlesticks.

Height 3 1/4 x width 8 x depth 4 inches (inkstand), Height 7 3/4 inches (candlesticks).

Condition
Overall with some rubbing and losses to the gilding and enamels as expected with age and use. One candlestick with a hairline crack running vertically through most of the stem. The inkstand with adhesive residue and surface grime overall. The sander with a chip to one corner and areas of repair with associated overpaint. The inkwell also with some old repairs and associated overpaint. The lid to the penbox stuck on and not removed. The ink stand with a large repaired Y-shaped crack emanating from a chip to the one side (please see images).
